This year we are thrilled to honor world-renowned pediatric orthopaedic surgeon David Skaggs, MD, MMM, Professor and Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. As one of the most sought-after surgeons in his field, Dr. Skaggs is internationally renowned for his skill and innovation in the field of pediatric spinal conditions and has treated thousands of children in Los Angeles as well as from around the globe, many of whom from our community, with unparalleled expertise and compassion.

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Children’s Hospital is the largest group of fellowship-trained surgeons in Greater Los Angeles, which allows them to offer the highest level of specialized pediatric orthopaedic surgical care that can be found anywhere. With children from all over the country and world coming to him for treatment, Dr. Skaggs is held in the highest regard by both physicians and colleagues as the as the best of the best.

Dr. Skaggs also serves as Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at USC Keck School of Medicine and he and his wife Valerie are long-time Hancock Park residents with their children Kira, Klay, and Jamie.
